This Toronto wine bar is closing and you can buy its selection of wines at 10% off

A popular West Toronto wine bar and wine store will soon close.

Grape Crush on Dundas West closes Aug. 27 at 8 p.m., but customers can purchase the store’s wine inventory online and in person at a 10% discount.

Although customers should note that the discount will not apply if ordering from the wine bar menu or frosé.

Grape Crush posted the announcement on Instagram on August 15: “At the end of August we will say goodbye to our Dundas West spot, so EVERYTHING MUST GO.”

“We don’t have location saves so that’s goodbye for now. It’s been one hell of a journey and thank you all for making our COVID years more bearable!” reads the caption.

The post was showered with love from the Grape Crush community, with one Instagram user writing, “I’m SO sad about this ❤️❤️❤️ love this place.”

Another commented, “Nooooooooooo. Please come back. ❤️”

Operations manager Chelsea Lawrence told Narcity that the Dundas West spot was not “perfectly suited” to their needs.

“We made the decision to move even though we don’t have a new location so we could take a break from two tough years, work on future projects and plan what’s next for Grape Crush,” Lawrence said. “Having to close this way is hard on the team. We had so much fun and our amazing customers made the COVID years more bearable.”

Lawrence confirmed that while there are no “concrete” plans for a new location, customers should keep an eye out for updates on the store’s Instagram account.

“It’s not goodbye forever, it’s see you later!” said Laurent.
