SSince officially opening in June with favorite local concepts like Revolver Taco, Monkey King Noodle Co. and Press Waffle Company, the very first food court in downtown Dallas. The Exchange added even more new spots. Two new concepts, Zalat Slices and Saturday Morning Ice Cream made their debut in the AT&T Discovery District.
Zalat is a well-known pizzeria in Dallas, but this new place will serve slice pies exclusively. Options include cheese, pepperoni, and vegetables, as well as the Pepperoni master class (pepperoni, oregano, cracked black pepper, and crushed garlic). Of course, the outpost will also offer their famous SriRANCHa for soaking.
The second concept, Saturday Morning Ice Cream, is a collaboration between Dude, Katherine Clapner of Sweet Chocolate and former Standard Pour co-founder Brian McCullogh. It will serve as a great scoop of nostalgia using classic breakfast cereals and treats combined with soft serve ice cream. Combinations include Elmer Fudge, a chewy chocolate banana dessert with a double chocolate ice cream sandwich, Pebbles & Bam Bam (fruity) and Thunder Cat (a chewy coffee cake with streusel and Rooster cafe in the city with brown butter frosting).
“What could be more magical than thinking of a happy moment in our life and reliving it through delicious artisan cereal-based ice creams and all the sweet, crunchy and gooey things that come from the very talented Katherine Clapner!” says co-owner Brian McCullogh.
The two new spots are now open as well as the 10 other restaurants of The Exchange.
