Something is brewing: Dom’s Broad Street Eatery | Connecticut News

WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) – During Channel 3’s 20 Towns Tour in Windsor, we stopped at Dom’s Broad Street Eatery.

This is where waiters like Melissa Rothammer star in the show.

“They actually say they come for our personalities because they shine,” Rothammer said.

“The connection they have… When a customer walks in, they know what kind of drink you’re drinking, they know what you’re going to eat,” said Jason DiBella, owner of Dom’s Broad Street Eatery.

He said he didn’t mind ceding the show to his phenomenal waiters, but said if you want to understand the soul of the much-loved restaurant, just take a look at a photo inside of his dad.

Jason’s father, Dom, opened the restaurant before he passed away a decade ago, but you can still feel Dom’s presence whenever you chat with one of the longtime regulars.

The restaurant has become an institution in Windsor, and even during the pandemic, regulars rallied to support Jason and his team.

“Windsor is an incredible city; I love this city. They have supported us through thick and thin and it’s a great community, ”said DiBella.

But Dom’s is also successful with food.

Chef Angel, aka “The Iron Chef,” is famous for his huge selection of Eggs Benedict, including a not-so-small beauty of filet mignon, and his apple and donut French toast.

The most important ingredient at Dom’s Broad Street Eatery will always be family.
