New Norwalk restaurant serves baked potatoes and gourmet seafood dishes

A brand new restaurant offers baked potatoes, seafood dishes and more in a Connecticut strip mall.

The Sleeping Potato opened at The SoNo Collection in Norwalk on Friday, September 23, representatives have announced.

The SoNo Collection management team, Norwalk Chamber of Commerce and Mayor of Norwalk, Harry Rilling attended the grand opening.

The mall is located at 100 North Water St.

The restaurant is owned and founded by Har’rell Chisolm, and the team includes Norwalk franchise owner Darrell Tyson and chef Bion “BG” Green.

The restaurant menu offers a wide variety of dishes, such as gourmet baked potatoes, fries and mixed fries with seafood, meat and homemade sauces.

Some dishes featured on the menu include “Midnight Steak and Cheese” and “Silent Night Seafood Potato”, made with crabmeat, shrimp, beef sausage, broccoli, onions and green peppers.

“I want The Sleeping Potato to be able to fit into the hood and fit into high end areas. I want us to be able to fit anywhere,” Chisolm said of the brand development plans. “And how people are going to believe you can come from a place like The SoNo Collection.”
