The Makati Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) padlocked a city establishment on Tuesday after the local government unit (LGU) discovered it was operating without a business license.
In a Facebook post, the BPLO said it has closed 007 Bar.
âThe continued crackdown was ordered by Mayor Abby (Makati City Mayor Abby Binay) to restore order and discipline in Makati and protect the interests of legitimate businesses, Makatizens and the general public,â said the LGU.
The BPLO has also closed a number of establishments, mostly restaurants, in previous weeks after discovering they violated COVID-19 quarantine policies.
More restaurants and other establishments have been allowed to open after the national government placed Metro Manila under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) Alert Level 3 on October 16, as it aims to donate to the saving a much needed boost after being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The quarantine status will last until October 31.
