A total of 14 Georgian wine companies participated in the International Wine and Spirits Expo held from June 30 to July 1 in Seoul, Georgia’s National Wine Agency announced on Monday.
In what is considered to be one of the largest annual wine and spirits events in the Asian region, local media interviewed Davit Tkemaladze, the Agency’s Vice President, and Otar Berdzenishvili, Georgia’s Ambassador to Korea, said the state wine promotion agency.

The agency said the promotional opportunity was “of great importance in raising awareness of Georgian wine in Korea”, with Berdzenishvili also presenting trends in the Korean wine market with representatives of Georgian wine companies on the occasion. .
The state body named Korea as one of the “strategic markets” for Georgian wine companies, along with China and Japan.
