Do you find yourself desperately trying to find the perfect gift for dad, but can’t find it? Here are some of our favorite Father’s Day gifts.
The best part? You also support local businesses!
The Canberra Distillery
With a large collection of gins, whiskeys and liqueurs in small batches, there is bound to be something special for any gin lover. Stocked in store and around Canberra, it won’t be hard to find some in time for dad.
Not sure what he’ll like? Or unable to choose just one? I went, it’s done! Try one of their cubes which contains four of their popular gins: Sloe, Blood Orange gin, French Earl Gray from HerCanberra and their signature Dry Gin. Our recommendation is French Earl Grey. Are we biased? Absolutely – but for good reason!
Tea Garden Co.
Is dad more of a tea drinker? If so, we have what you need! Recent winners of a gold, two silver and a bronze medal from the Royal Hobart Show, we’re sure you’ll find something to his liking here!
Made in Canberra, this hand-blended tea company will delight the taste buds and keep you deliciously warm from head to toe. And with a wide range of black, green, herbal, oolong and chai teas, we’ve definitely just found her new favorite tea brand.
With gorgeous glass teapots to use for their blends, dad’s tea time will soon become “me”!
Anyone want cheeseburger flavored jerky? Grown from a few handmade sticks of cured meat passed through a pub, this company is now stocked in over 15 locations across Canberra! You do not know which one to choose ? They’ve created a special Father’s Day basket that includes six different flavors of jerky. Favorite Child Award? Check!
Bistro & Wine Bar
Treat dad to a decadent high tea with a twist for Father’s Day at the Buvette Bistro & Wine Bar. Think delicious cheese plates, Croques Monsieur Wagyu, chorizo sausage rolls, whiskey chocolate mousse and much more! Accompanied by a Capital Brewing Co beer or a Piper-Heidsieck champagne, give dad the ultimate gift.
Junee Chocolate and Licorice
Alright, alright, it’s not from Canberra but with a factory located just outside Wagga Wagga, these treats are perfect to satisfy any foodie dad! From artisanal organic licorice to strawberry and pistachio chocolate blocks (yes, that’s as good as it sounds), they’ve got you covered.
If a trip to the factory isn’t your idea of fun, don’t worry! Junee products are stocked in over eight locations in Canberra, so there’s bound to be somewhere nearby for you to pick up some for dad or yourself. Can’t make up your mind? We recommend their chocolate pizza wheels! With a different flavor on each slice, you’re sure to find a new favorite.
Murrumbateman Chocolate Co.
Yes Yes Yes. We know we’ve already mentioned chocolate in this list but… who doesn’t love it!? Murrumbateman Chocolate Co is home to Sweet Pea & Poppy and Robyn Rowe Chocolates, and we know you’re bound to find something here!
Located 20 minutes from Canberra, this small chocolate shop produces the most aesthetically pleasing artisan chocolates with a huge range of flavours! But if you don’t like the road, you can buy Sweet Pea & Poppy chocolates at any of the 27 stores in the Canberra area.
Did we even mention the delicious hot chocolates…?

Enjoy a relaxed four-course lunch with your loved ones (parma prosciutto with alto and guindella olive oil, steak fries with brandy and pepper, and crispy barramundi with salt shaker and kale plus a frosty capital beer at the arrival).
