We’ve had to say goodbye to far too many beloved local restaurants this year.
On Tuesday evening, the Wildflower Cafe announced its final closure on September 26. Located in Clintonville, the cafe opened in 1999 and has been a popular gathering place for breakfast, lunch and dinner ever since.
“It was an incredibly difficult decision to make. Even with the incredible support of the community, the past few years have been very difficult not only financially and logistically, but also emotionally. We’re just sold out, ”the Wildflower Cafe said in a statement. on Instagram.
The cafe closed temporarily last spring and reopened in June 2020 for take out service only. They had only recently opened for food services in July 2021.
“For us, Wildflower has always been an incredibly special, beautiful and wonderfully strange place,” we read on Instagram. “We have come to know and love so many of you as friends and family. Thank you for sharing your life with us. You made the Wildflower much more than a restaurant. We will all miss you dearly.
The Wildflower Cafe will remain open until September 26. For more information about the restaurant you can visit Wildflower-Cafe.com.
