2-story Business Lounge Suite proposed for Greenfield

GREENFIELD, WI – A two-story barber shop called Avery and Birch has been proposed for largely undeveloped land near Armor Avenue and S. 108th Street in Greenfield.

The Greenfield Plan Commission is expected to discuss the proposal at its Tuesday meeting. The applicant would purchase the approximately four-acre land to construct a building with more than 30 apartments for independent stylists.

City documents show the business would be an “upscale boutique and each unit will have a large window allowing natural sunlight to enter the suites.” pastries and snacks prepared on site. “

Ryan and Jennifer Janssen would own the facility and Delanie Ford would operate it, according to city documents. A public hearing is not necessary for the company because the proposed use already falls under the current zoning codes of the plot.

An architectural plan submitted to the city indicated that the 12,000 square foot building would accommodate a modern design.

An entrance to the company’s parking lot would be built from 110th Street – soon to be renamed W. Sunset Lane, according to city documents.

Further discussions and possible approvals are scheduled for the November 16 Common Council meeting.
